Fun for the Whole Family

Moving to Washington, D.C. with a family? Northern Virginia is your spot for family-friendly activities that will keep you as entertained as the children.

Indoor and outdoor waterparks, a children’s theatre tucked in a national park, go-kart racing, an interactive STEM museum and zipline course are just a few activities for the family to enjoy in Northern Virginia. Families will also find activities across Northern Virginia’s historical attractions, art scene and outdoor recreation.

And don’t forget about man’s best friend. Dogs are part of the family and Northern Virginia communities like Alexandria have everything from doggy boutiques to yappy hours.

Several trampoline parks, laser tag adventures and bowling alleys are also scattered across Northern Virginia.

Adventure Awaits

Find out if a lead foot runs in the family as you race the kids in high-speed indoor go-karting at Autobahn’s Manassas and Loudoun County locations. For a slower pace but equally fun time, putt your way through Monster Mini Golf in Fairfax County, where glow-in-the-dark miniature golf courses keep the Halloween spirit going year-round.
